1. From my experience, it also depends on the country you work in. My company (small - mid size company in each country) operates in 6 country's around Europe and I would have liked to have used Sage in each country as this package is very popular in my home country of the UK. However in 2 of the 6 countries it is very hard to either buy it or get support for it, as it also depends on the country's accounting laws. However if it was available in the country I would always recommend Sage, it is a good standard package with multiple add-ons such as personnel, payroll, inventory and the majority of external software packages will link to it if needed.
