Basic Accounting Software

Any recommendation for web-based accounting software?

I am searching for a web-based software that can process basic accounting as well as manufacturing information (such as job costing, work in progress, etc). Can anyone make any recommendation? Thanks.

  1. Great Plains, hands down.
  2. I think NetBooks is good for manufacturing companies - http://www.netbooks.com We're the maker of a simpler and mroe affordable solution but we don't have any special support for job costing right now - http://www.clarityaccounting.com And of course, there's NetSuite if you have the cash for it, it's got plenty of bells and whistles.
  3. As a company involved both with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and SL (Solomon), I recommend taking a look at both before going with either. Depending on your requirements, you may discover that one fits like a glove—the other not so much. If you would like to contact us, we’d be happy to address the pros and cons of both based on your particular needs. Following is a brief description of both from our website FAQ: Microsoft Dynamics GP is a business management solution that provides growing and midsize organizations with complete and scalable financial and operational functionality, such as advanced consolidation, robust business intelligence, rich reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Microsoft Dynamics SL is a business management solution specialized to help project-driven midsize organizations obtain reports and business analysis, while helping increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
